Frequently Asked Questions
What is Risewell Yoga?
Risewell Yoga is a wellness-focused yoga community dedicated to helping people move better, feel stronger, and live well. Our classes combine yoga, mobility, strength, breathwork, and mindfulness practices designed for real life.
I'm not flexible. Can I still do yoga?
Absolutely.
You do not need to be flexible to start yoga. Flexibility is one of the benefits that develops over time through consistent practice. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are today.
I'm a beginner. Which class should I take?
Our Beginner Yoga Foundations and Gentle Flow classes are perfect starting points. Our instructors provide modifications and guidance to help you build confidence and learn at your own pace.
What should I bring to class?
Bring comfortable clothing you can move in and a water bottle. If you have your own yoga mat, feel free to bring it. Mats are available for members and first-time guests.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable athletic or yoga clothing that allows you to move freely. Bare feet are recommended for most classes.
How early should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before class begins, especially if it is your first visit. This allows time to check in, get settled, and meet your instructor.
Do I need to register before attending?
Yes. Pre-registration is recommended to reserve your spot and ensure class availability.
Are classes suitable for all ages?
Yes. We welcome adults of all ages and fitness levels. Our instructors provide options and modifications to support individual needs and abilities.
Can yoga help with back pain and mobility?
Many students experience improvements in mobility, posture, flexibility, and overall comfort through regular practice. While yoga is not a substitute for medical treatment, it can be an effective part of a healthy movement routine.
What if I have an injury?
Please inform your instructor before class begins. We can often provide modifications to help you practice safely. If you have a serious injury or medical condition, consult your healthcare provider before participating.
Do you offer private sessions?
Yes. Private sessions are available for individuals, couples, and small groups seeking personalized instruction and support.
Do you offer corporate wellness programs?
Yes. Risewell Yoga provides on-site and virtual wellness experiences for businesses, organizations, and professional teams looking to improve employee health, reduce stress, and promote workplace wellness.
How often should I practice yoga?
Consistency is more important than intensity. Most students experience noticeable benefits by practicing two to three times per week, though even one class weekly can make a positive difference.
What styles of yoga do you teach?
Our classes draw from Vinyasa Yoga, mobility training, functional movement, breathwork, recovery practices, and mindfulness techniques. We focus on helping students build strength, mobility, balance, and resilience.
Do I need to be in shape before starting yoga?
No.
Yoga is a practice that helps you become stronger, more mobile, and more connected to your body over time. Every student starts somewhere, and all fitness levels are welcome.
